Experts from the French independent laboratory DxOMark conducted an analysis of the displays of the iPhone 17 series smartphones and found several unexpected facts.

What is known

As a result of testing the screens of the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 and 17 Pro Max, it became known that although they have different panels and claimed specifications, they are absolutely identical in perception to the human eye and received the same score - 151 points.

This is a high score in itself, but stagnation is clearly traced in Apple smartphones, since two years ago the iPhone 15 Pro had the same result, and the 16 Pro was even 1 point less.

The most important thing is that all iPhone 17 models are inferior in display quality not only to many flagships, including those of past years, but even to budget smartphones, for example, the Google Pixel 9a (155 points).

Let us remember, at the moment, the smartphone with the best display according to DxOMark is the Pixel 10 Pro XL – it has 161 points.
