“Born for Nostalgia”: Anbernic Introduced a Compact Retro Console Styled After the Legendary Nintendo DS

The Chinese company Anbernic introduced the new RG DS portable console — a compact device with a clamshell casing and two screens, whose design fully replicates the famous Nintendo DS.

Anbernic RG DS is aimed at retro game and classic platform emulation enthusiasts, highlighted by the slogan: “Born for Nostalgia.” The device is specifically adapted to run Nintendo DS games, including accurate emulation of the second screen with a resolution of 256×192 pixels — making the console perfect for those who want to dive into nostalgia without technical issues. The device also runs modern Android games.

Main features of Anbernic RG DS:

• Form factor: clamshell with two 4” IPS screens with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels;
• Control: two analog sticks, D-Pad, ABXY buttons, four auxiliary keys;
• Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, two USB-C ports, 3.5mm audio jack;
• Supports TF cards up to 2TB;
• Has a 4000 mAh battery providing up to 6 hours of continuous gameplay.
