The Scion automotive brand existed only in the US and Canada from 2003 to 2016 as a more youth-oriented and sporty branch of Toyota Motor. There were no signs of the brand's revival, but the Japanese company suddenly presented at the SEMA exhibition a concept of a powerful quad bike with a hybrid powertrain.

What's Known

Scion 01 is a quad bike with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, over 300 hp, and a Silent Mode feature, allowing it to drive on electric power without noise. The concept stands out with its aggressive appearance featuring a vertical front bumper, winch, light bar, massive off-road tires, body protection, "pixel" camouflage, and an FIA-standard safety cage. It has four seating places, a spare wheel, and a roof.

Scion 01 is designed for extreme conditions: high-speed off-road racing, difficult trails, and conquering rocky areas. A Toyota representative noted that this project demonstrates how the company combines its best developments with a new audience of adventure enthusiasts.

Simultaneously, Toyota showcased a prototype of the updated RAV4 GR Sport with a new aerodynamic body kit that will make the crossover lower and more sporty, following the Toyota Gazoo Racing style. Alongside this, other concepts were exhibited — Camry GT-S and Turbo Trail Cruiser.
