Popular messenger WhatsApp is now available on Apple Watch

Meta has released the official WhatsApp app for Apple Watch. It can already be installed from the App Store on Apple Watch Series 4 (and newer) and watchOS 10 (and newer).

What is known

To run WhatsApp on Apple smart watches, they need to be synchronized with an iPhone that has the messenger installed. The app allows you to receive call notifications, read full messages, reply to them, view chat history, exchange images and stickers, and send and receive voice messages — in short, users have access to the full functionality of WhatsApp.

The WhatsApp interface on the watch matches the new Liquid Glass style used on Apple devices.

Meta promises to develop WhatsApp capabilities on Apple Watch by adding new features.
