One Thousand Downed Targets: The 'Wild Hornets' Team Published a New Video About the STING Interceptor Drone
The Ukrainian team "Wild Hornets" (The Wild Hornets) presented a new video with their FPV STING interceptor drone — a massive, affordable, and effective tool for destroying enemy drones, including Shaheds, Lancets, Zala, and SuperCam.
What STING Can Do
STING is designed for rapid response to aerial threats. It can be deployed in less than 15 minutes, launched from any surface without a catapult, and if the target is not found — the drone safely returns to base. The effective engagement range is up to 25 km, making STING a versatile solution for intercepting various types of UAVs.
Technological Aspect
The drone is compatible with both analog and digital FPV stations, operates day and night, and is equipped with the Hornet Vision system — a technology that remains effective even under electronic warfare conditions. STING is envisioned as “smart mass-produced weaponry” — simple to maintain yet capable of operating autonomously and precisely.
Who Is at the Helm
A separate unit of instructors “Night Hornets” trains operators to fly STING: daytime training, night-time real combat sorties on “hunt” for Shaheds.
Results
In less than four months of serial production, STING drones have already helped the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroy over 1000 enemy targets. This transforms the “Wild Hornets” project into one of the most successful examples of combat FPV drone development in Ukraine.
