The American brand Ram plans to launch the Rampage pickup in European markets. The unibody model is already sold in Brazil, but has yet to appear in the US.

What is Known

Ram is already present in several European markets through its distributor KW Auto. However, the large 1500 and Heavy Duty series models have limited demand - their impressive sizes are suitable only for a narrow circle of buyers.

The 5028 mm long Rampage, on the other hand, is much better suited for narrow European streets. This feature gives Ram a chance to compete in a more compact and affordable segment with high sales potential.

Stellantis calls the Rampage a vehicle for balancing everyday practicality and off-road capabilities. Occupying a niche between compact crossovers and midsize pickups, the model, according to the manufacturer, "fills an unoccupied space in the market."

The Rampage debuted in June 2023 as the first Ram vehicle fully designed and built in Brazil. It is built on the Small Wide platform, shared with the Fiat Toro, Jeep Compass, Jeep Commander, Alfa Romeo Tonale, and Dodge Hornet.

In South America, buyers have access to turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines, both paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Stellantis published the same images of the model used for the Brazilian version, indicating a virtually identical appearance for the European Rampage. Whether the model will receive region-specific updates to equipment, configurations, or powertrains is unknown. The provided images show the red version in the Rebel configuration.

The pickup assembled in Brazil will be presented to the public for the first time at the Fieracavalli show in Verona, Italy, which will take place from November 6 to 9. The company calls this the "European premiere," not a full market launch. Final specifications and prices are expected to be announced at the event.

There were earlier rumors that Ram would also bring the Rampage to the American market as a competitor to the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz. However, Donald Trump's import tariffs made this idea unfeasible.
