IKEA has announced the launch of a range of smart devices compatible with the Matter standard. The new assortment includes 21 products in the categories of lighting, sensors, and control devices.

What is known

Part of the assortment includes updates to existing devices adapted to work with Matter. The core of the range consists of 11 new smart bulbs from the KAJPLATS series. They are available in various shapes and sizes, supporting brightness adjustment. The sensor category includes five devices. Specifically, MYGGSPRAY is an indoor and outdoor motion sensor that automatically turns on the light. MYGGBETT sends notifications when doors or windows are opened or closed. The TIMMERFLOTTE sensor monitors temperature and humidity, ALPSTUGA the air quality, and KLIPPBOK detects water leaks.

Among the control devices is a smart plug GRILLPLATS that allows you to turn on and off regular lamps and household appliances, as well as track energy consumption levels. Also presented are four devices from the BILRESA series, including a remote control with two buttons for on/off lighting, brightness adjustment, and scene activation, as well as a remote control with a scroll wheel. For each type, sets of three remote controls are available.

The company did not disclose exact prices and launch dates as they may vary by market. In July, IKEA reported that the products would be available for sale in January.
