Stylish flagship Nubia Z80 Ultra debuted in the global market — price significantly lower than in China

Nubia has launched global sales of its flagship Z80 Ultra smartphone, which debuted in China at the end of October and caught buyers' attention with a combination of excellent features and elegant design.

What's known

Nubia Z80 Ultra is already available for pre-order. Surprisingly, this smartphone is a rare case where global prices are much lower than those in the Chinese market:

12 GB + 256 GB: €649 / $649
16 GB + 512 GB: €799 / $799
16 GB + 512 GB (Starry Night): €829 / $829
16 GB + 1 TB: €899 / $899.

For comparison, in China, the Z80 Ultra priced as follows:

12 GB + 256 GB ~ $950;
16 GB + 512 GB ~$1090;
16 GB + 1 TB ~$1220.

All pre-orders placed before November 18 will include a free original charging device and a premium protective case. Buyers can also use the special code Z80USAVE30 to get a £20/€20/$30 discount on any model until December 2. Additionally, Nubia offers two additional accessories: the Z80 Ultra Retro Kit priced at £109/€149/$149 and the GamePad 2 controller priced at £69/€99/$99.

Specs of Nubia Z80 Ultra

The Z80 Ultra features a 6.85″ AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, ZREAL support, 2592 Hz PWM, SGS certification, and AI eye protection. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, supplemented with up to 16 GB of RAM.

Nubia Z80 Ultra has a 7200 mAh battery with support for 80W wireless and 90W wired charging.

The smartphone has an additional side button that users can assign to almost any task, such as opening an app with a single press or calling an AI assistant. Overall, the physical buttons have been completely updated and now support various functions, including a half-press, a full press, and a long press.

The smartphone promises an upgraded surround sound system with dual speakers.

The main advantage of the photo flagship is a 50 MP main camera with a 35mm focal length, a 50 MP super-wide-angle 1/1.55″ camera, and a periscope telephoto lens OmniVision OV64B. The front side has an under-display front camera, allowing Nubia to implement a completely bezel-less display without cutouts.
