Everything Depends on Apple: Insider Reveals Conditions for Significant Improvement of Cameras in Galaxy S27 Ultra
A few days ago, we noted that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not impress with its camera capabilities, as they will not receive significant improvements compared to the 2025 flagship. Now, however, a reputable insider has reported that major changes could occur in 2027, but once again, as is often the case in Samsung's decisions, they will depend on… Apple.
What is Known
Ice Universe, who often shares reliable information, stated that the Korean manufacturer may make serious improvements to the Galaxy S27 Ultra cameras, but the technical nuances will be determined by which sensors the iPhone 18 Pro Max receives.
Currently, Samsung is considering two options:
- if Apple's top smartphone of 2027 once again receives a 1/1.3″ sensor, Samsung will also use a 200 MP sensor of the same size as currently, but will add a variable aperture to it;
- if Apple employs a new module in the iPhone 18 Pro Max (presumably, the IMX903 with a 1/1.14″ size), then Samsung will also take a step forward and equip the flagship with a 200 MP module with a 1/1.12″ size.
In his usual manner, Ice Universe called such a position by Samsung "spineless"—and how is he wrong?
