Viwoods has released AiPaper Reader — an ultra-thin e-reader that combines Android 16, an E Ink display, and built-in artificial intelligence capabilities.

What is known

AiPaper Reader is equipped with a 6.13″ E Ink Carta 1300 display with a resolution of 824×1648 pixels and a density of 300 PPI, providing high clarity and comfort for the eyes.

This compact device is even smaller than some smartphones: the body is only 6.7 mm thick, and it weighs 138 g, making it ideal for carrying in a pocket or bag. Thanks to the thin frames, the screen accommodates the maximum amount of text.

The main feature of the device is the built-in AI companion, available via a physical button. With its help, users can get explanations of terms and translations directly in the text, compile summaries and analyze plots, and save answers with quotes and sources. These capabilities make the new e-reader especially useful for those reading educational or professional materials.
