First details of Galaxy Z TriFold: the foldable smartphone will get a 5600 mAh battery and will be released on December 5
An authoritative insider Ice Universe shared important information about the first TriFold smartphone from Samsung, which he discovered in the Korean press.
What is known
According to exclusive data, Samsung Electronics will release the Galaxy Z TriFold on December 5.
It was previously indicated that due to the high cost of the foldable device, Samsung will initially supply only 50,000 units to assess demand, and for now, the Galaxy Z TriFold will be sold only in South Korea and possibly in the USA.
Some technical details are also known. The smartphone will be equipped with a 6.5″ external screen, and in its fully unfolded state, its size will be 10″.
In the unfolded state, the body thickness will be only 4.2 mm, which is thinner than most modern smartphones and tablets. In the folded state, the device will have a thickness of about 14 mm, comparable to a regular flagship smartphone in a protective case.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will have a 5600 mAh battery, which is a record for Samsung foldable smartphones, but whether this will be enough to power such a large display is a big question.
