During the State of Play show, Sony announced its first gaming monitor under the PlayStation brand.
What is known
The PlayStation Gaming Monitor received a 27" IPS panel with QHD resolution (2560×1440) and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz for PC and macOS with VRR support. On PlayStation 5 and 5 Pro consoles, the frame rate is limited to 120 Hz.
The monitor supports HDR technology, but Sony did not specify which protocol.
The main feature of the display is the built-in retractable docking station for wireless charging of DualSense controllers.
The PlayStation Gaming Monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-A ports, and one USB-C port with PlayStation Link support - for connecting to wireless headphones, speakers, and other compatible Sony accessories.
When to expect
The PlayStation Gaming Monitor will be available for sale in 2026, initially in the USA and Japan. Its cost has not been disclosed yet.
