A special edition of Nintendo Direct took place, where viewers were introduced to the first trailer of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie — a direct sequel to the hit 2023 feature film The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which grossed hundreds of millions of dollars and received excellent reviews.

However, the main thing that became known is the exact premiere date: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will hit screens on April 3, 2026.

The film has a star-studded cast, with Jack Black returning to his role as the "voice" of Bowser, Chris Pratt (Mario), and Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach). Joining them will be Marvel Cinematic Universe star Brie Larson, who will voice Rosalind, along with a number of other celebrities.
