Gemini for Galaxy: Google Introduces Updated Design and New Features

The Gemini app on Galaxy devices has received a design update. In version 16.45 for Android, Google introduced a number of visual and functional changes that are already available on Samsung smartphones and tablets.

What is Known

The main screen received an updated look, proposed actions are now displayed as an ordered list rather than grouped in the center as before. A new section "My Stuff" appeared in the sidebar, where all generated Gemini images and videos are stored. Below it are the Chats and Gems.

In dark mode, the app uses a black background instead of gray. The account switcher is now available only on the new chat creation screen.

While there were previous rumors about the integration of Gemini with the Samsung Clock app, it is currently limited to Samsung Calendar, Notes, and Reminder. One UI 8.5 is expected to expand the list of supported apps.
