Polestar to integrate Google Gemini into all its car models

The Swedish electric vehicle brand Polestar announced the integration of the artificial intelligence (AI)-based voice assistant Google Gemini into all its models, starting with the Polestar 2.

What's known

In Polestar cars, the new assistant Gemini will replace Google Assistant. Generative AI allows users to interact with the car using natural speech.

In addition to simple commands, users can enhance interaction with the Gemini Live. To activate, just say: “Okay, Google, let's talk.” Then you can brainstorm, ask clarifying questions, and gain access to new learning features on the go.

The technology demonstration will take place at the Slush event, which will be held on November 19-20 in Helsinki, Finland. The voice assistant with Google Gemini will be installed in the Polestar 5.

Polestar users will be able to use Gemini starting in 2026. The English version will be the first to launch.
