The Chinese studio TIGames unexpectedly announced a prequel to the well-known 2D action game FIST Forged in Shadow Torch, but the connection to the 2021 game is not immediately apparent.

What's known

At the Xbox Partner Preview show, a game called Zoopunk was introduced. The main character is also an anthropomorphic rabbit Ray, who is likely a predecessor of Rayton. The hero also possesses impressive combat skills, but their practical application has advanced significantly, as we now have a dynamic third-person action game instead of a metroidvania, and judging by the first frames— with a deep combat system that visually somewhat resembles Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The events of Zoopunk unfold in the same dark world as FIST Forged in Shadow Torch, featuring a dieselpunk aesthetic, with heroes who are anthropomorphic beasts.

The release date for Zoopunk is still unknown; the game is being developed for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
