The long-suffering remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time could be one of the first releases of 2026: insider named the game's release dates
Renowned insider Tom Henderson revealed the release dates of the long-suffering remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which was announced in 2020.
Recall, after the Indian division of Ubisoft completely failed in updating the iconic adventure action game, the remake's development was entrusted to the central office of Ubisoft Montréal, which had to create the game "from scratch" since their colleagues' work left no chance for success, and the first trailer was so dreadful that even the laziest critics agreed on its removal from all official channels.
What is known
In the weekly Insider Gaming podcast, Tom Henderson stated that Ubisoft might release Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake as early as mid-January 2026.
This information is indirectly confirmed by a post in the game's official community, stating that loud news about the remake will be announced at The Game Awards 2025.
Henderson also once again expressed confidence that the Sands of Time remake would definitely be released earlier than the similar reissue of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, whose release, let us remind, is expected in the last week of March 2026.
