Ayano showed all the colors of the premium retro console Pocket Vert and revealed several other important features
The Chinese company Ayaneo shared additional details about the Pocket Vert — a portable gaming console in the form factor of the Game Boy, made in a premium style.
What is known
The gadget was introduced in early November, but at that time Ayaneo did not reveal the details of the Pocket Vert, limiting to a stylish video showing the console in elegant Midnight Black color and information that the novelty will have a 3.5” LTPS display with a high resolution of 1600×1440 (10 times more than the Game Boy).
Now the manufacturer has announced that the pixel density will be 615 ppi, and the peak brightness will be 450 nits. The processor of Ayaneo Pocket Vert is still unknown, but it is stated that the console can run both retro games and Android applications.
The console will feature a 6000 mAh battery that will definitely be sufficient for long gaming sessions, and the built-in stereo speakers will allow you to enjoy the nostalgic sound of 16-bit soundtracks.
In addition to the previously announced black color, buyers will be offered models in Moon White and Lava Red.
Visually, the Ayaneo Pocket Vert truly stands out among similar gadgets: it features a glass panel that smoothly transitions into a sleek unibody metal case. The buttons are made of a transparent crystal-like material that refracts light and reflects it beautifully. They are smooth to the touch and provide clear tactile feedback, and their placement exactly replicates that of the Game Boy.
The developer has also provided a MagicSwitch key that supports opening the function menu with a long press and provides volume control.
The cost and release date of Ayaneo Pocket Vert are not disclosed.
