Representatives of Xiaomi have long confirmed that the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 17 will not keep the global market waiting, and now this has been further confirmed.

What is known

Respected insider Yogesh Brar reported that the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models are already being tested on the Indian market and will be released by March 2026.

Additionally, he confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max models, with an additional display in the camera block, will not be released outside of China.

Let us remind you, the Xiaomi 17 series was released in September and became the first on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Thanks to excellent features, the basic Xiaomi 17 gained great popularity in China, while the Ultra version is yet to be unveiled. However, according to insiders, it may revolutionize the photo flagship market: the Ultra version will feature the largest main camera sensor in the industry and introduce a new generation of periscopic telephoto lens technology exclusively developed by Xiaomi.

According to insider Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be almost identical to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and will feature the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, as well as a 6.8″ flat OLED display with 2K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, but will be without an additional rear display, freeing up space for a huge round camera block. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available in an exclusive gold casing, further highlighting its premium status, and will likely launch simultaneously in China and globally.
