Sony and Sucker Punch studio released a major update 1.100 for the critically acclaimed action game Ghost of Yōtei, which brings important features and expands the content, as well as introduces significant technical improvements.

What is known

The main feature of the patch is the 'New Game+' mode, which, as always, will open after the first playthrough of Ghost of Yōtei and will allow you to start the story over but keep all the equipment, acquired abilities, and found items.

In addition, additional difficulty levels, two new trophies, and another level of armor and weapon upgrades have been added to Ghost of Yōtei. Besides, players gained the opportunity to acquire more than 30 new cosmetic items, including armor and weapon colors, as well as ten new charms.

Now it's possible to replay individual story missions, and several additional options have been added for people with disabilities, including button remapping.

As for the technical improvements, the developers have added support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and also increased performance, and for screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 'balanced' visual mode is now available — with ray tracing and without it.

The full list of changes can be found on the Sucker Punch website.

The studio will continue supporting Ghost of Yōtei and release a free cooperative mode Legends in 2026, which will be similar to what Ghost of Tsushima offers.
