Official: Creator of “Fargo” and “Alien: Earth” to Develop Far Cry Game Franchise Series

The leak about the creation of the series based on the famous Far Cry game franchise has been fully confirmed.

Ubisoft and FX channel (Walt Disney Company) officially announced that they are working on a screen adaptation of the Far Cry shooter series.

The showrunner and director of the series will be Noah Hawley, author of the dramatic series “Fargo” and the series “Alien: Earth,” which premiered in August.

Actor Rob McElhenney (Mythic Quest, “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) will become a co-author and executive producer and will also play one of the main roles.

As in the game series, each season of Far Cry will be a standalone story with different characters and locations, but it's still unknown whether they will be direct adaptations of the shooters or will tell independent stories.
