Ubisoft continues to torment Beyond Good & Evil 2: after 17 years of development, the studio is looking for a sound designer
It's hard to believe, but work on Beyond Good & Evil 2 continues!
Ubisoft first announced the sequel's development in 2008, then in 2017 showed the first gameplay footage, and since then the game has been in development hell.
Company representatives occasionally make encouraging statements, but few gamers believe that the sequel to the famous adventure action game will ever be released.
What is known
Beyond Good & Evil 2 even entered the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-developed game in the industry's history, surpassing the infamous shooter Duke Nukem Forever by 3D Realms and Gearbox Software!
The feasibility of further development of Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in great doubt, but Ubisoft is not backing down, as indicated by a job opening posted on the Hitmarker website.
The French studio is looking for an experienced sound designer who will create sound effects for Beyond Good & Evil 2, describing the game as an ambitious action game with a seamless open world where the entire Solar System is open for exploration.
It is known that the game is still being created on the Voyager engine, and despite such a long development, it still generates huge interest as everyone is curious about what will come out of this problematic project.
