Insider: iPad mini with OLED Screen Will Not Be Released Until Fall 2026

There have been multiple reports in the media that Apple is preparing a large-scale transition of its tablets and laptops to OLED panels. One of the first candidates for the new display, insiders mentioned the iPad mini and reported that it could be released as early as the spring of 2026.

However, new information contradicts this.

What is known

Renowned Chinese insider Instant Digital reported on his Weibo page that customers planning to purchase an iPad mini with an OLED display will have to wait at least until the fall of 2026.

It is likely that the American company will return to a more familiar schedule of mini-model announcements and will once again present such iPads in September or October.
