An unusual exhibit has appeared in the Chinese mobile phone museum located in the Huaqiangbei district in Shenzhen — an almost two-meter replica of the legendary Motorola V70. The huge device replicates the original's design and is fully functional — it can make calls, which makes it unique!

What is known

The creator of the giant phone is the museum owner, Mr. Yang. It took more than six months to develop the exhibit, and every key on the enlarged model really works.

Videos of the two-meter phone quickly spread across social media: visitors line up to take photos with the two-meter Motorola.

The museum positions the project as a symbol of an era when mobile phones were not just a means of communication but a status and style statement. Thus, the giant Motorola V70 has become not only an art object but also a reminder of the rapid development of the mobile industry over the past two decades.

Recall that the original Motorola V70 was released in 2002 and was remembered for its unusual rotating cover. At that time, the phone cost about $1200 in China (up to $1000 in Europe) and was considered a luxury item. As Mr. Yang noted, in the early 2000s, many dreamed of such a gadget, and the huge replica became a creative embodiment of unfulfilled desires.
