Insider Reveals Specifications of Edge 70 Ultra — Motorola's Flagship Will Feature 1.5K OLED Display and New Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Chipset
Motorola is preparing a flagship smartphone, currently codenamed Urus, but will be sold as Edge 70 Ultra — this was reported by renowned insider Evan Blass.
What is known
According to Blass, Motorola has chosen Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 as the chipset, which is a more budget-friendly version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is expected to feature a 1.5K OLED display, a camera with a periscope telephoto lens, and 16 GB of RAM.
Previously spotted in Geekbench are the test results of the Moto X70 Ultra (the Chinese version name of the Edge 70 Ultra) — 2636 points in the single-core test and 7475 points in the multi-core test.
The smartphone is expected to debut first in China under the name Moto X70 Ultra, with a global release happening in early 2026.
