Lotus Diplomat Introduced — a smartphone in BlackBerry style with a physical keyboard, top characteristics, and a focus on data protection
Lotus Technologies, specializing in the production of niche gadgets, has introduced an unusual smartphone for the modern market with a physical keyboard and flagship specifications. Lotus Diplomat is positioned as a premium device for journalists, writers, and anyone who works with text.
What is known
Lotus Diplomat is made in a classic rectangular design reminiscent of iconic BlackBerry smartphones but with modern accents.
The front panel features a 5.3” display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2560×1920 pixels, and below it is a full-sized QWERTY keyboard with a numeric pad and dedicated quick access keys. Additionally, a second 1” auxiliary display is provided to display time, notifications, and some control elements.
Lotus Diplomat quite matches many modern smartphones and has the following specifications:
- processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite;
- 24 GB of RAM and up to 1.5 TB of internal storage;
- triple camera module — main 50 MP + two 13 MP;
- 6000 mAh battery with fast charging support;

The body of Lotus Diplomat is made of metal and glass with premium assembly.
