Not graphics cards, but processors: Media learned that AMD is raising prices for its CPUs
Last week, media reported that amid the global RAM shortage, AMD may increase the cost of its Radeon graphics cards in the near future, at least by 10%. While this has not been officially confirmed, another alarming news has arrived related to AMD's products.
What is known
The Overclock3D portal reported that the American company has notified its partners about raising CPU prices starting at midnight on December 3.
Unlike Intel, which increased prices only for older chips (13th and 14th generation Core), AMD has taken a more radical decision and will raise prices for all its processors.
The reason for AMD's change in pricing policy remains unclear, as unlike graphics cards, processors do not depend on RAM and should not be affected by its shortage.
It remains to wait for an official announcement from AMD indicating how much CPU prices will increase.
