The announcement of Metroid Prime 4 took place back in 2017, and almost the entire time Nintendo remained completely silent about the game. Finally, the much-anticipated game has been released on the hybrid consoles Switch and Switch 2, and everyone interested can learn the continuation of the story about the famous bounty hunter Samus Aran.

What is Known

The game is already available in digital and physical editions for $60 for Switch and $70 for Switch 2.

Critics have previously shared their opinions on Metroid Prime 4 and stated that it is an excellent game by itself, but due to some controversial gameplay mechanics, it somewhat falls short of previous entries in the Prime subseries. The shooter looks and sounds great, has decent performance and quality graphics.

The novelty scored 81 points on Metacritic and 82 points on Opencritic with 83% recommendations.

Let's recall, in the story of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Samus Aran investigates attacks on Galactic Federation research complexes organized by her longtime adversary Cyracs. During the mission, an incident occurs, and Samus, along with a group of soldiers, finds themselves on the unexplored planet Bururos, where they must join forces to survive and return home.
