Samurai in Space: Ambitious Action SOL Shogunate Announced by Gaming Industry Veterans

The American independent studio Chaos Manufacturing, founded in 2025 by industry veterans from Riot, Blizzard, CD Projekt Red, Guerrilla, Respawn, Treyarch, and ZeniMax, announced its debut project called SOL Shogunate and it is generating a lot of interest.

What is Known

Sol Shogunate is a dynamic and brutal action game set in a distant future world where humanity has colonized the solar system and everything is controlled by the Shogunate.

The game features Japanese aesthetics and cultural elements, which blend perfectly with the game's futuristic setting.

The main character of Sol Shogunate is Yuzuki, the last heir of a samurai clan brutally exterminated by a hostile clan. She seeks revenge against her family's longtime enemies and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal.

The key feature of Sol Shogunate is melee combat, which, in the low-gravity conditions of the lunar station, becomes unexpectedly spectacular and offers players great maneuverability.

When to Expect

The release of Sol Shogunate is scheduled for 2027. Currently, only the PC version is announced.
