The analytical agency Counterpoint published a list of the most popular smartphones in the global market in the third quarter of 2025.

For many years in similar rankings, devices from Apple and Samsung have predominated, and this time the situation has not changed: each of these manufacturers had five devices in the top 10.

What is known

The first four places in the top were occupied by iPhone 16 series smartphones. It is worth noting that the new iPhone 17 models were released at the end of the third quarter, and only the iPhone 17 Pro Max managed to enter the top ten devices. We are confident that in the next report, the iPhone 17 will overtake previous models.

As for Samsung, the best-selling model was the budget Galaxy A16 — the 5G version is in fifth place on the top, and the 4G is in ninth.

The affordable Galaxy A36 took the 7th place, surpassing the more expensive Galaxy A56.
