Kia celebrates its 80th anniversary with the futuristic Vision Meta Turismo concept
Kia is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a new exhibition at Kia Vision Square in Yongin, South Korea. It is designed to honor employees of the past and present, as well as give an insight into the company's future.
This clearly demonstrates the fact that the automaker used the event to present the Vision Meta Turismo concept. The car, in the spirit of the production model Stinger, combines driving dynamics with a futuristic interior.
Kia has yet to reveal all the details, but it is already evident that it is a bold sedan with Kia's signature design “Opposites United.” The front end features a protruding shark nose and contrasting black trim with angular headlights and narrow air intakes.
On top, a short hood transitions into a sloping windshield. Also visible are headlights that extend back and become mounts for digital side mirrors.
The profile of the concept has highly stylized body panels, vaguely reminiscent of the Polestar 5. Key elements include angular doors, muscular rear fenders, and aerodynamically optimized wheels. Also visible is a rising beltline and an unusual glass roof with geometric elements.
The rear part looks simpler but includes an integrated spoiler and boomerang-shaped taillights. The model also has a contrasting black bumper and a stylish diffuser.
Kia detailed the interior further, describing it as a “deeply immersive” environment that reimagines the relationship between human and machine.
In particular, the company mentioned an augmented reality head-up display with Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer modes. Information is displayed through smart glass, allowing drivers to see “virtual graphics as if they float above the road in three dimensions.”
Additionally, the concept has a D-shaped steering wheel and a small square display. Also noticeable are a camera and a futuristic dashboard. Notably, the contrasting yellow driver's seat features a joystick-like control element on the armrest. What it's for is still unclear.
