Waiting for New Vegas 2? Gaming Industry Legend and Fallout Creator Tim Cain Returns to Obsidian Entertainment

Great news for role-playing game fans — the famous game designer and one of the creators of Fallout, Tim Cain (Tim Cain), returns to the Obsidian Entertainment studio.

On his YouTube channel, which Tim Cain actively maintains, the developer announced that he is happy to rejoin the Obsidian team to develop a new project, and “you will never guess what this game is.”

For several years, rumors have been circulating online about the possibility of developing Fallout: New Vegas 2, and representatives of Bethesda and Obsidian have not confirmed this version, but they have hinted that it is quite possible. In that case, one of the key authors of the Fallout franchise would be perfect for developing the game.

Cain mentioned that from 2020 to 2025 he worked with various studios on a contract basis, and several games created with his participation are expected to be released in the coming years, although the author is confident that some of them have already been canceled.

Tim Cain will continue to produce videos analyzing current problems in the gaming industry and discussing controversial topics, as Obsidian does not mind such public activities by its game designer.
