Google is updating its experimental application Doppl. It features a new shopping-feed created by artificial intelligence. Doppl works as a tool for virtual clothes fitting using personalized 3D images, and the updated feed offers recommendations according to the user's style. Almost all items are available for purchase immediately.

What is known

Unlike Instagram or TikTok, where products are advertised by real bloggers, the feed in Doppl consists exclusively of videos created by generative AI. Google promises personalized looks and clothing selection according to user preferences: the app analyzes interactions with products and the style you set during profile setup.

Videos in the feed are an advanced feature of Doppl, which can transform images with a user's virtual "avatar" into dynamic clips to better showcase the fit of clothes. This aligns with e-commerce trends, where short videos are becoming a key sales tool.

The innovation is already available on iOS and Android in the USA for users aged 18+.
