Xiaomi introduced a new gas water heater with AI and HyperOS

Xiaomi presented a new model in China, the Mijia Smart Gas Water Heater 2 Zero Cold Water 18L. The device is available for pre-order at a price of 2500 yuan, which is approximately equivalent to 353 US dollars. Sales start on December 15.

What is known

The model's dimensions are 575 by 365 by 184 mm. The front panel is made of glass. The water heater operates on natural gas at a pressure of 2000 Pa. The maximum thermal power is 34 kW, the minimum is 3 kW. The supported water pressure range is from 0.02 to 0.85 MPa.

The device is equipped with a TSI pump with a rotation frequency of 8100 rpm. Circulation up to 120 m in length and elevation up to 15 m is supported. The performance is 18 kg of hot water per minute with a temperature increase of 25 °C.

During normal operation, the consumption is 48 W. With the pump activated, 66 W. In freeze protection mode, 80 W. In enhanced shower mode, up to 114 W.

The water heater supports Wi-Fi connection at 2.4 GHz. It operates based on the HyperOS system and supports control via the Mijia app. Available functions include remote temperature settings, schedule planning, and automation in conjunction with other Xiaomi ecosystem devices.

Xiaomi claims that the built-in AI-based chip tracks the inlet water temperature and adjusts the gas supply with an accuracy of 0.5 °C.
