Publisher Bethesda released another edition of the cult role-playing game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Anniversary Edition) — and this time it was the Nintendo Switch 2 users who got lucky.

What is known

Notably, the announcement of the edition for the new hybrid console just took place, and its release immediately followed.

On the Switch 2, Skyrim is sold for $60 with all released add-ons (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn) and additional content from the Creation Club, previously added to the Anniversary Edition.

On the Switch 2, the game received higher resolution, faster loading times, and support for all the features of the Joy-Con 2 controllers, including the “Mouse” mode. Motion control and amiibo also work.

Those who have the base edition of the game for Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the version for the new console for $20. Those with the Skyrim Anniversary Edition will get the new version for free.

In addition to the release gameplay trailer, the developers also released a humorous Christmas Live-Action video.
