Samsung Wallet to Receive Support for Porsche Digital Keys
Samsung is expanding the capabilities of its Wallet app. In December 2025, owners of the Porsche Macan, and later the electric Cayenne, will be able to unlock, lock, and start their car using a Galaxy smartphone. This refers to the Digital Key feature, which operates through a secure UWB or NFC connection.
What is Known
The digital key will first become available in Europe. It will then be introduced in other countries in line with the launch schedule of new Porsche models. The technology works on many Samsung devices, including Galaxy S20, Note 20, Fold 2, Flip 5G, and newer models. If the smartphone is lost or stolen, the digital key can be remotely locked or deleted.

In February 2025, Samsung already introduced the Digital Key for Volvo and Polestar electric cars. The feature became part of Samsung Wallet back in 2021 and since then, it has covered more and more car models.
Besides digital keys, Samsung Wallet also stores bank cards, documents, and allows for money transfers with one touch.
