Media: fifteen old models of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco may receive HyperOS 3 firmware, but based on Android 15

Xiaomi has already released the HyperOS 3 firmware based on Android 16 for most of its current gadget models (Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco), and now, according to the XiaomiTime portal, the company plans to update older devices as well.
What's known
According to insider information, the Chinese manufacturer is conducting internal testing of HyperOS 3 on Android 15.
The test firmware has already been received by fifteen Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco models:
- Xiaomi 12T Pro;
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra;
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Max;
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro;
- Xiaomi MIX Fold 2;
- Xiaomi 13 Lite;
- Xiaomi Civi 3;
- Xiaomi 12 Pro;
- Xiaomi 12S Pro;
- Xiaomi 12S;
- Redmi K60 Pro;
- Redmi Note 13 5G;
- Redmi Note 12T Pro;
- Poco F5;
- Poco F5 Pro.
The public release of HyperOS 3 for these models will happen very soon, if no critical errors are found during testing.
Interestingly, HyperOS 3 based on Android 15 will bring the same innovations as the version on Android 16, which, we remind you, are as follows:
- HyperConnect: seamless interaction technology between Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, laptops, and IoT devices. It supports file transfers, notification synchronization, and collaborative app work;
- HyperIsland: an interactive notification area inspired by Dynamic Island from Apple, adapted to the Xiaomi interface;
- updated design: redesigned icons, animations, and widgets, improved adaptation for large screens;
- performance optimization: accelerated app launches, reduced power consumption, and improved background operation;
- security and privacy: new access settings, extended permissions, and data protection when connecting to other devices.
