Brutal Shooter Witchfire to Receive Major Update The Reckoning on December 12

The Polish studio The Astronauts has revealed the release date for the next major update for the fantasy roguelike shooter Witchfire.

What is Known

Patch 0.8, named The Reckoning, will be released on Steam and EGS tomorrow — December 12.

In addition to a small portion of new content and interface improvements, the developers have focused on enhancing the core gameplay mechanics and this time have made adjustments to elements related to Alchemy, Arcanes, and Prophecies. The game will also feature Torments — challenging trials for which players will receive valuable bonuses.

With the release of the patch, Witchfire will receive full compatibility with the portable console Steam Deck.

Currently, Witchfire is in early access, with a full release expected in 2026.
