Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 named Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025 and wins eight more prestigious awards
The largest game show of the year, The Game Awards, has ended, featuring many announcements (we will tell you about the most interesting ones later) and a huge number of trailers. However, an important part of the event is the awarding of the best games of the outgoing year, and now we know who the jury and gamers named as their favorites.
What is known
The best game of 2025 was obvious to everyone. Since its release, the elegant, stylish, dramatic, deep, and unusual role-playing game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 impressed both the public and critics equally. At TGA 2025, it won nine awards, including the title of "Game of the Year." Notably, no other winner received more than one statuette.
Players recognized Wuthering Waves as the best game of the year, surpassing hits like Dispatch and Hollow Knight: Silksong. The best action game was named Hades II, and the best action-adventure game was recognized as Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Of course, the most anticipated game was named Grand Theft Auto VI.
