Asus has introduced a new travel router RT BE58 Go with Wi-Fi 7 support in China. The device weighs 232 g, has foldable antennas, and dimensions of 99 × 111 × 36 mm. The price of the new item is 900 yuan (approximately $127).

What's known

RT BE58 Go supports dual-band Wi-Fi 7 standard 802.11be with speeds up to 3600 Mbps. It provides up to 2882 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Technologies such as 4K QAM and Multi-Link Operation are implemented to improve performance in congested networks.

Inside the router, there is a quad-core Broadcom processor with a frequency of 2.0 GHz, 1 gigabyte of DDR4 RAM, and 256 megabytes of flash memory. Separate front modules improve signal stability and power.

The device supports power via USB-C with a power of 18 W, allowing it to be connected to a regular power bank. This makes it convenient for travel, hotels, trips, and remote work. Interfaces include a 2.5 Gbps WAN port, USB-A for tethering with 4G or 5G smartphones, and a WISP mode for creating a private network using public WiFi.

RT BE58 Go supports Asus AiMesh, has five guest SSIDs with branding capability, separate networks for IoT devices, a built-in VPN, and AiProtection to block malicious sites. Optimization is also provided for video calls, streaming, and gaming.

Alongside Asus, other companies have introduced new WiFi 7 routers. Ubiquiti announced the Dream Router 5G Max, and TP-Link released the Archer GE400 gaming model.
