Officially: Dambuster Studio has launched the development of Dead Island 3 and even announced the release dates for the new zombie action game

In September, the studio Dambuster hinted at the development of the third part of the popular zombie action series Dead Island 3. Now the company has published a financial report, which answered all the questions from the franchise's fans.

What is known

The document states that after the release of Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition, most Dambuster employees switched to creating a new game.

The project is in the early stages of production, but it is claimed that work is progressing at an excellent pace. Dead Island 3 is planned to be released in the first half of 2028, and it should be noted that Dambuster is the team that managed to bring Dead Island 2 out of a years-long production hell, and the quality of the 2023 zombie action game pleased critics and gamers, which is rare for such problematic games.

The announced release dates for the game may seem incredibly optimistic by modern standards, but the Dambuster team has already demonstrated their effective work.

No information about Dead Island 3 is reported yet, but in the fan community, there is a theory that the events will unfold in Las Vegas, although it is not an island. However, Los Angeles from the second part is also hard to call one.
