100% "Freshness" on Rotten Tomatoes! Critics are thrilled with the second season of the Fallout series

On December 17 at 03:00 (CET), the premiere of the first episode of the second season of the Fallout series will take place.

The first season was released in 2024 and became extremely successful — it was liked by critics, fans of the post-apocalyptic franchise, and movie enthusiasts unfamiliar with Fallout. The series received 96% "Freshness" on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a rare success for modern media projects, but the second season turned out to be even cooler!

What is known

Critics published the first reviews of the second season and they turned out to be incredibly positive. The continuation of Fallout received 100% "Freshness" on Rotten Tomatoes!

The gloomy atmosphere of the city of New Vegas and the brutality of its inhabitants add seriousness to the narrative, and the city's ruler, Mr. House, just like in the 2010 game, instills both respect and fear. Critics are thrilled with Justin Theroux's portrayal, who excellently embodied his character.

Professionals noted that the specific humor became slightly less, which also significantly improved the perception of the series. Many storylines turned out to be incredibly interesting, but unfortunately, some arcs were dull and suffered from repetition, for example, the relationship between Ghoul and Lucy. Journalists also highlighted the slow plot development in the initial episodes as a downside.

Overall, the first viewers highly appreciated the acting, direction, and excellently recreated locations familiar from Fallout: New Vegas, such as the iconic T-Rex statue.

Viewers can expect a total of eight new episodes, which will be released weekly on the Prime Video service.
