Google launched an experiment within Google Labs. The CC assistant is powered by the Gemini artificial intelligence and sends out a daily newsletter with updates about your day.

What is known

The assistant can access Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar to form a "Your Day Ahead" email, which gathers information about tasks, events, and important reminders. Users can also reply to the email or write to CC themselves, for example, to add a task to the list, save a note, or find necessary information.

For now, the assistant is only available to Google Pro and Ultra users in the US and Canada, aged 18 and over. Furthermore, it only works with personal accounts, not with Workspace.

Similar email assistants already exist. For example, Mindy works in marketing, or Read AI and Fireflies, which send daily digests but do not access Drive. The Huxe service, created by former Google engineers, generally provides daily updates in podcast format.
