The renowned publication PC Gamer summed up the year and published its own list of the Best Games in various categories.

What is known

As usual, the magazine's editors consider only PC games.

Instead of trying to fit our favorite games into a few fixed categories, we ask each team member to nominate up to six games released this year. Then we conduct a large online vote and discuss which titles deserve an award and choose the "Game of the Year." After determining the winners, we distribute them into categories based on where we think they particularly excel. Therefore, the categories are different every year.

Note that many gamers find the verdict of PC Gamer more fair than, for example, the results of TGA 2025, as there is no dominance of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (although undoubtedly a great game), and many cool new releases received well-deserved awards from the authoritative publication.

The results of 2025 from PC Gamer are as follows:

  • Game of the Year — Kingdom Come: Deliverance II;
  • Best Adventure Game — Old Skies;
  • Best Immersive Sim — Skin Deep;
  • Best Horror — Labyrinth of the Demon King;
  • Best Cozy Game — Promise Mascot Agency;
  • Best Roguelike — Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor;
  • Best Humorous Game — Baby Steps;
  • Best First-Person Shooter — Battlefield 6;
  • Best Characters — Dispatch;
  • Best Action — Hollow Knight: Silksong;
  • Best Co-op — Abiotic Factor;
  • Best Multiplayer — ARC Raiders;
  • Best Story — Clair Obscur: Expedition 33;
  • Best Design — Blue Prince.
