OnePlus 15R unveiled — the global version of the powerful gaming sub-flagship OnePlus Ace 6T with a 165 Hz display and a 7400 mAh battery

The presentation of the OnePlus 15R smartphone took place, which became the global version of the Chinese OnePlus Ace 6T.

What is known

The OnePlus 15R will be the first device outside of China powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.

The novelty features a 6.83" AMOLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, 450 ppi pixel density, and 1800 nit peak brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, providing reliable protection against scratches and impacts. Additionally, the company confirmed that the smartphone can run games at 120 FPS.

The smartphone is equipped with the advanced Cryo Velocity cooling system, which includes a 5704 mm² vapor chamber, a graphite layer at the bottom of the chassis, and a separate aerogel layer under the display. This solution highlights the gaming focus of the gadget.

The OnePlus 15R has a wide range of protection ratings — IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, which is rare even in expensive models.

The camera block includes the main Sony IMX906 sensor with 50 MP, 1/1.56", f/1.8, with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8 MP wide-angle lens, f/2.2. The 32 MP front camera ensures high-quality selfies and user images during video calls.

The OnePlus 15R is equipped with a 7400 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 80 W.

The price for the 12/256 GB version will be $700 and $800 for the 12/512 GB version. Sales will start in mid-January, but in India, the OnePlus 15R can be purchased as early as tomorrow — December 18.
