Media: Samsung will install the world's first 2nm Exynos 2600 processor in the new foldable Galaxy Z Flip 8 smartphone
December 19 Samsung officially unveiled the Exynos 2600 — the first mobile processor on the market created using the 2nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) process. The novelty will form the basis for upcoming Galaxy S26 flagships, but only in the Korean market.
Soon after the announcement, information appeared that the Korean manufacturer may be able to use its innovative chipset in another smartphone next year.
What is known
According to media reports, Samsung is considering installing the Exynos 2600 in the next-generation foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip 8, which is expected to be unveiled in summer 2026.
It is mentioned that the company has managed to establish stable processor production and ensure high product quality, and now nothing will prevent the gradual introduction of Exynos 2600 into other flagship smartphone models. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is likely to use flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips.
Samsung claims that internal tests show impressive results: the novelty's neural processor (NPU) is 6 times faster than the Apple A19 Pro and 30% superior to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The built-in GPU Samsung Xclipse 960 also outperforms the top Snapdragon chip by about 29%.
