Xiaomi has unveiled new wireless earphones Buds 6, which became part of a large December announcement along with Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Watch 5. The model received improved ergonomics, an advanced audio system, and support for Snapdragon Sound technologies.

What is known

The Xiaomi Buds 6 are designed in a semi-in-ear form factor and weigh only 4.4 grams each. The body features a biomimetic curved shape that provides a tighter and more comfortable fit to the ear. The stem is 12% narrower compared to Buds 5, and the sound channel is 11.3% thinner. The contact area has increased by 8.8%, reducing pressure during prolonged wear.

The main improvement is the new dynamic driver with a triple magnetic system and a 24-carat gold-plated diaphragm. According to Xiaomi, this has increased bass sensitivity by 40% and treble by 30%. The earphones support Snapdragon Sound, including aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive, providing 24-bit audio transmission at 48 kHz with speeds up to 2.1 Mbps. The sound tuning was done by the Harman Golden Ear Team.

The model is equipped with adaptive noise cancellation (ANC), which uses three microphones and AI-based algorithms to suppress external noises. Apple Find My is also supported, making Buds 6 convenient for iPhone users.

The AI also performs real-time speech translation of conversation partners.

Battery life reaches up to 35 hours with the charging case. The case is designed in a new elegant style and supports fast charging.

The earphones are available in four colors: white, black, silver, and pink. In China, Xiaomi Buds 6 are priced at $99 (converted from yuan).
