Silent Hill games will be released every year: Konami has big plans for the franchise development
The Japanese publisher Konami is actively developing the Silent Hill franchise. A few months ago, there was a rumor that the company plans to release one new horror game a year, and now this information has received official confirmation.
What is known
The editorial team of Famitsu magazine talked with Japanese developers about their plans for 2026, and Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto stated:
The series is back in action. We aim to release approximately one game a year, including both announced and unannounced projects.
We are not sure if we can achieve this, but as the producer of Silent Hill, I will do my best. Ideally, we would like to maintain a steady interest in the franchise.
Let us recall that under the new strategy, the successful remake of Silent Hill 2, the experimental and controversial horror Silent Hill f, the misunderstood free horror Silent Hill: The Short Message, and the failed interactive Silent Hill: Ascension have already been released. Ahead, gamers can expect Silent Hill: Townfall and the remake of the first part, scheduled for release in 2026 and 2027.
There are also rumors that the Polish studio Bloober Team will release a remake of the third part of Silent Hill, and moreover, they are working on a completely new game for the franchise.
