Samsung integrates Google Photos into its TVs
Samsung has announced plans to be the first TV manufacturer to natively integrate the Google Photos service into its devices. The feature will work in combination with Vision AI Companion, an updated version of the Bixby voice assistant. Images from Google Photos will appear during TV interface navigation in contextual and convenient moments.
What is known
Users will be offered three new ways to view the library. The first feature, named Memories, will display photo selections based on locations, people, or events. The launch is scheduled for March 2026, and during the first six months, it will be available only on Samsung TVs.
The Create with AI feature will allow photo editing using Google DeepMind models. Users will be able to modify images based on templates or create short videos from individual frames. Its launch is expected in the second half of 2026.
The Personalized Results feature will automatically generate slideshows based on the content of photos. For example, users will see selections on themes like ocean or Paris. The feature release is also scheduled for late 2026.
