ASUS expanded the line of gaming OLED monitors ROG Swift and presented two fundamentally different models — ROG Swift PG27UCWM and ROG Swift PG34WCDN.

What is known

ASUS offers a solution for gamers with different interests: PG27UCWM is focused on esports and high clarity of 4K images, while PG34WCDN is focused on maximum immersion and ultra-smooth gameplay at 360 Hz. Both monitors demonstrate ROG's transition to the new generation of RGB-Stripe OLED panels, which are expected to solve the problem of blurry fonts and increase the durability of OLED displays.

Both models use OLED panels but differ in literally everything: diagonal, resolution, aspect ratio, and even geometry — PG27UCWM is flat, while PG34WCDN has a curved screen.

ROG Swift PG27UCWM — 27″ 4K Tandem OLED

The PG27UCWM model is built on the fourth generation of Tandem OLED, which provides increased brightness and extended panel life. The monitor supports 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and improved image clarity thanks to the RGB-stripe subpixel structure. This is the first 27” 4K monitor based on the new LG Tandem WOLED matrix with such subpixel arrangement.

The second monitor — PG34WCDN — is focused on ultra-wide display enthusiasts and has a 21:9 aspect ratio. It features a 34” QD-OLED panel with a resolution of 3440×1440, a curvature radius of 1800R, and a refresh rate of 360 Hz. In this model, ASUS uses a new RGB-Stripe QD-OLED matrix from Samsung, which provides clearer text and improved color rendering. The model has received a BlackShield film that increases the panel's hardness by 2.5 times and enhances the depth of black by 40%.

PG34WCDN is also equipped with a custom heatsink to reduce the risk of burn-in.

Both models support undistorted 10-bit color, low response time - 0.03 ms, ASUS pixel burnout protection technology (OLED Care Pro), and G-SYNC and FreeSync smoothing technologies.

The price and launch date of the new products are not yet known.
